Life was more simple before (Dec 4th 2008)

I have been very quiet lately.

It's almost like I can't blog atm. I keep going to write things down, just run of the mill kind of stuff and then something stops me from posting. In fact, the only reason I am writing today is because It is Monday and I yet again haven't updated Belinda's Challenge for last week. So very quickly;

I have planted greek oregano, column basil, pepetual basil, bee lavender, sweet fennel, Pepino's, tamarillo and also bought some pretties; salvias, dianthus, marigolds.

Tidying in the garden and removing spent broad beans, discovering infant californian poppies.

Not networking at all. I've been very antisocial. Still feeling like I want to hide under the doona and only come out for food.

I have been sewing, working on SS gifts, felt xmas ornaments and dresses for the tots. I will post pictures soon. This is where the title comes into it; Life was so much more simple before when I would just go to the shops and buy cheap imported crap. If you put a dollar value on my time then these gifts are working out very expensive.

You know what, I feel like I am in a holding pen. It's like I know something is coming but I am just spinning my wheels.

So Belinda, it's been a very odd sort of week but hopefully this will shift soon.

Hi Crone,

Sorry to hear you are fighting the funk. I certainly feel there has been some really weird energy around recently.

Kind Regards
Belinda

Hey sweetness…do you think that maybe you could put a subscribe feature on here? Or point out where it is if there is already cos I can’t find it!!

I hope you get out of your funk soon…maybe the new year will bring a new lease on life and bring back the bright bubbly Lara I have come to love!

Whint

I can completely understand that ‘hide under the doona’ feeling. My friends have learnt not to worry that they ‘did something’ when they don’t see/hear from me for a couple of weeks - sometimes I just have to go in my cave for a while.

Checking things off the to do list helps - one step at a time. And remember to delegate!

Good to see you blogging a little though so we can listen, offer sympathy and webhugs.
Hang in there!

{{{hugs}}} mate, you have mirrored exactly how I feel at the moment and I have no idea why I feel that way? If I didn’t *have* to get up each morning I’d quite happily stay ensconced in bed with a cuppa and a good fiction book, since I also feel like ’something’ big is coming but have no idea what. Sigh. Hope you come out of your funk soon and feel better ASAP!

Phew, I’m so glad it’s not just me!

Molly, I am home today until 1.30, so anytime up until then is good

Nat, lists are my best friend atm!

Hey Cronie, it’s no consolation but I’m feeling a combination of sad, angry and utterly bewildered at the moment. My baby bro and family left this morning and I think that maybe my heart is broken. I can’t think of anything to do that will make me feel better. There’s so much on my to-do list that I’ve hidden it so I don’t have to look. And I just found out a few minutes ago that while we’re eligible for a nice govt handout, an idiotic phone call I made on Monday, means we won’t get it until next June. Oh crap.

So….I’ll be WISHING I was hiding under a doona.
