Why have I been so quiet (and maybe bad tempered)? (March 12th 2009)

Been sewing party bag gifts to give out instead of lollies this year

Ten belly dancing skirts (full circle). It takes one full bobbin to sew the hem of each skirt. They are about five metres around each.

Oh, it's a Princess Jasmine/bellydancing babes party; henna'd hands are going to happen as well :)

Gorgeous! Is the birthday girl the only one with pink? And has little A shot up again? The bit I can see doesn’t look like the toddler I know!

I remember full circle skirts from my (much) younger years. Round about the end of primary school, early high school, before the mini skirt (Twiggy era) craze. The circle skirts were worn with many layers of stiffened petticoats, I remember my best friends mum mixing hot water starch and dipping all the petticoats of her three daughters. I was never a skirt girl, living mostly in shorts and long pants. (you couldn’t climb trees in a skirt and petticoats). Your satin versions look gorgeous, and what a great idea for the party bags!
