Well I signed up for Rhonda Jean's Energy and water audit challenge and while I have been updating my results here, I have forgotten to update on the challenge site :)
So here you go as posted on DTE
Thurs: 15019
Fri: 15033
Sun: 15067
Wed: 15130
So over the week we have consumed 111 units of Electricity for a family of six. That is a daily average of 15.85
Now to another type of waste. I love beansprouts. Love the crunch, the texture and love the taste. I buy them by the bagful from the Asian grocery store and we eat them in stirfries and in spring rolls. Unless of course I forget about them until the fridge smells and I find a shrunken mass of putrid beansprout juice. So come on, tell me the bleeding obvious point that I have missed up until now!!!!!
Yep, Crone, go to The Husband's Chinese cupboard, get a glass jar and fill it full of water and then tip in some of his mung beans! You know, the little green beans that you have been diligently collecting as part of your famine food stores! You great knob, Crone!
Sprouting jar is now on the window sill *blush!*

I went back to purchasing bean sprouts after a period of germinating and growing my own. The reason? Not all of my bean seeds germinated leaving just the odd one that was so hard that I broke a tooth one time and a filling another time. It was very expensive to repair both
