What can I do?

I’ve been thinking long and hard about what I can do to help the fire victims in the Eastern States of Australia.

I can donate money to various appeals

I can see which charities and organisations need donations

I can’t donate blood however due to my medications.

Another thought came to me last night, I can collect, save and donate seeds for those gardeners who have lost their food gardens.

When you are ready, if you need some of the seeds which I have, please email me at thecroneatwitsend@gmail.com and I will happily share what I can with you. Some things I won’t be able to share due to quarantine restrictions but please please ask me and I will do all I can.

I am going to put a page up on the right which will let you know which seeds I have.

Blessed be

Hi Crone,

That is a good idea and something I decided last night to pose to my Community harvest group at the next meeting.

Something else I thought of that sewers could produce are simple drawstring bags.

At the moment I am getting together toiletry supplies and sorting them into ziplocks because I don’t have a non plastic option off the shelf. Helping is more important than using large amounts of plastic but I can’t say it doesn’t rub against my environmental ideals. Something else I considered for the more advanced sewer would be reusable fem hygiene products. Both products are pretty light so shouldn’t cost much to post and will be really useful to those that receive them.

Kind Regards
Belinda

Proactive and practical as always Crone. At work we’re giving blood and have made donations - but the other things they suggested was stuff for kids - teddy bears, crayons, books etc etc.

the Red Cross will take it - though it sounds like they’re getting overwhelmed at the moment and it might be good to wait a few more days.
