350.org

I listened to Bill McKibben's interview on Classic FM yesterday and really really want to share the link to this interview with you all as well as his website http://www.350.org/

Basically the interview is about the  carbon limit for the planet to survive is 350 parts per million.  What's scary is that we have already exceeded that number; 392 ppm  plus :(

Please listen to the interview here http://www.abc.net.au/classic/throsby/stories/s2913631.htm

On the homefront it felt good this week to be able to give a friend a basket of herbs and vegies from my own garden.  I found the last zucchini which had grown to obscene proportions and was informed that it was turned into fritters and soup :)

Started crocheting again and really should finish making myself that scarf.  It's starting to get a little cool over here at night now as the countdown is on for the winter Solstice.

How are you all celebrating mid winter?

I am celebrating by checking out my cool weather vege's, proud that as a novice gardener I am doing fairly well, and reminding myself that nature is bigger than me & my little miseries...

Hope you are getting along OK. Thank you so much for the Pay it Forward book, looking forward to reading it, then passing it along...
