WA chili fanatics (Oct 2th 2008)

Check out Scorpion Chillies!

Now I'm not a huge fan of hot chillies, I prefer the more subtle, enticing ones but I am seriously tempted by some of the range these guys have.

Firecracker (hybrid): 20 seeds - $2.00
Purple Prince: 20 seeds - $2.00



Mustard Habanero: 15 seeds - $3.00

African Pecquin: 15 seeds - $2.00
Thai Prik Kee Nu: 15 seeds - $2.00



Red Scotch Bonnet: 15 seeds - $3.00

What impresses me even more is that they are locals so my purchases will benefit the local community.

Now, what's the perfect chilli to grow to mix with chocolate?

I noticed a Chocolate Scotch Bonnet (or may have been a habanero) on the list… might work nicely!!

Sorry - just wanted to add that I planted a Firecracker for my other half, and it’s going absolutely nuts! It’s gone from teeny seedling to a foot tall and heaps of flowers in about 3 weeks!

Just ran across your blog while searching for a good gingerbread recipe…one that’s moist. If I can find a conversion chart (from the US) I’ll try your recipe.

When I make spicy truffles I use ancho chili powder. Can you find ancho? Just right for chocolate I think, though some use chipotle. I think chipotle is a tad too smoky flavored
