A picture tells a thousand words

Look at what last week's rain brought!

A silver princess eucalypt :)

I think the rains brought my energy back as well. This morning I have made two batches of yoghourt using a fresh biodynamic culture rather than my usual 'powdered milk and sachet' style. I heard somewhere recently that powdered milk is really bad for your health as the processing treatments not only rip all nutritional value from the milk but also change the fats and how they react within your body. Until I can either confirm or deny this I am going back to the old fashioned methods.

Sitting on my stove top is also 4 litres of fromage blanc thickening up for the next 12 hours. If all goes to plan I will then strain it gently for six hours and have a beautiful cream cheese :)

Pssssst, it’s the Victorian Farm we are doing the PIF on, I did the Tales from the Green Valley ages ago. Good to hear you are back on track!

Lurvly! And yes, I also read that the process of powdering the milk oxidises the milk fats and makes them really bad for you. And, it’s in thousands of processed foods, not to mention just about all regular *fresh* milk where it is used to guarantee a consistent fat content year-round… Nice, huh?

Love your website. I live in South Africa and we have just been told that they are upping our electricity bills. SO we will have more electrical cuts and we are in the middle of winter. Brrrr. Freezing right now because of the snow on the mountains and all the wind. I love gardening but don’t make the time to get our anymore. I sit in front of my PC mainly doing metaphysical research. Mainly a kitchen witch myself and love to give advice and help on a forum that I belong to.

Talk to you again. Bye
